Litha- Summer Solstice 2009

Though the best of summer is yet to come
Full power is heightened in the Sun,
today.

The wheel relentlessly is turning
Diminishing the land's sunshine yearning,
today.

Sparks of past & future fly
marking the mantle of Father Sky,
today.

Mother's belly is magnificently filling
and we are free from fields and tilling,
today.

We open our heart, mind, body and soul
to capture the Light in this fragile bowl,
today.

We ward off winter: fallow and dead
with sun, and love and magick said,
today.

might the night breathe gentle love about your skin,
and sprinkle the delectable passions upon your minds eye,
tonight and always.
